This year, in honor of Nurses Week, our campaign is sponsoring the first-ever
Nurse Blogger Scholarship. Details are below.
The Idea: Find one superstar RN blogger to write about critically important nurse issues this election year. Value Care will feature this blogger on our website and in emails, and will encourage Value Care members to join the conversation.

Scholarship Amount: $1,000 total
($200 a month)Participation Requirements:1. You are a Registered Nurse or healthcare professional with a nursing background
2. You are the primary author of a blog
3. You regularly blog about patient care or nursing-related topics
4. Your blog is at least 6 months old
5. You've completed and submitted the online application below
Scholarship Recipient Responsibilities:1. Write, edit and post an entry on your blog at least twice monthly, between June 12, 2008 and November 4, 2008 (Election Day)—for a total of
no less than 10 blog entries—on any number of workplace and patient care issues. These include, but are not limited to, safe-staffing, mandatory overtime, RN wages, the nursing shortage, healthcare reform, etc.
2. Participate in occasional blogger conference calls.
3. Regularly comment on other RN and medblogs, especially posts that relate to national RN issues.
4. Join the Facebook
"Nurse Bloggers Lounge" group.
